This is the only way I will eat Spam. Remove from the can, and lay on it's side. Cut in half longwise and cut each piece again, until you have 8 slices. Spread each piece with Philly cream cheese. Add thinly sliced onion on top of 4 pieces. Cover with the other 4 pieces to make a "sandwich". Put 8 toothpicks in each sandwich which will divide them into 8 sections. Cut the sections and place on a plate and cover with plastic wrap. Put in the frig to get chilled. Melt Velveeta cheese (1 pound) and mix in enough milk to be a dipping consistency. Add a 4 oz can of Jalapeno relish and mix in. Dip the Spam sections into the cheese mixture and enjoy. This year I am going to try using Campbells Cheddar cheese soup instead of Velveeta. You can use as much jalapeno relish as you like. The sauce can be refrigerated if any is left over, and it gets hotter each time you reheat it.

Gina is gonna love this one lol.
When I was assigned to a tactical unit, I at so much spam, the sound of it makes me queazy.  I will eat it if fixed, but you will never catch me asking for it.  With that said, that sounds like a pretty good recipe.  I think I would fry the spam first though.

Thanks for sharing,

That sounds good. It has been so long since I had spam, I can't remember what it taste like. That would even be better with summer sausage, but everything is better with summer sausage, lol. Thanks for the recipe.

Feel free to adjust the recipe to your taste. One thing about food, besides taste, texture and other things can make or break a diish. I find that the chilled Spam, Philly cheese and onion centered in warm cheese provides two different sensations at one time.
