This cake was miss named by someone, because after the first bit you will want to call it the Cinnamon Bun Cake. My wife was given this recipe and she has given it to scores of folks.  They start asking for the recipe after the first taste of the cake.  It is yum and more yummy.  It is my favorite cake and yes, it is guaranteed to increase your weight. LOL...it good....

Honey Bun Cake

1 box yellow cake mix                     1 cup brown sugar
4 eggs                                         4 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 cup of oil                                1 cup raisins or pecans
1 (8 oz) carton sour cream              3/4 c. confectioner's sugar
1/2 cup sugar                               6 Tsp. margarine melted

Mix brown sugar cinnamon, and raisins or pecans and set aside. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.  Mix cake, eggs, sour cream, 1/2 cup of sugar, and oil together. Pour into greased 9" x 13" cake pan.  Pour cinnamon mixture over the top of the cake and swirl into the batter with a knife. (We just mix the cinnamon mixture into the batter.  It does not have the pretty swirls, but makes sure that the cinnamon mixture uniformly mixed)   Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes.

GLAZE

Beat 3/4 cup powdered sugar with 6 Tbs melted margarine: thin with milk to spreading consistency.  Spread onto cake when partially cooled.   Optional: may sprinkle with 1 cut of toasted nuts on top.

Darrell,
That does sound like a rather yummy cake!  Won't go well with my diet, I think I gained a pound just reading it lol.

Thanks for sharing,

Oh Yeah. This will be one recipe I will try. I avoid the bakery section in the supermarket since just the smell seems to pull at my wallet. Thanks for the recipe.
